What is Encompass?

Introduction:

Encompass is a web-based electronic health record system designed to Manage Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, Substance Abuse and Physical Health Services for state and county Medicaid programs. Encompass is comprised of interoperable modules which are designed to fit the workflow of Community Mental Health programs. Each module is designed to perform a specific task. Encompass is comprised of the following modules:

The Encompass system implements integrated care to better serve vulnerable populations. Integrated care is focused on developing a beneficial partnership between mental health and primary care to address basic unmet healthcare needs of persons with serious mental illnesses. Integrated care results in lower cost to the public mental health care system.

Encompass allows you to run and access useful reports
Encompass enables Practice Management. You can run reports on utilization, insurance, billing and caseloads. Encompass also allows for customized reports.

Encompass is user-friendly and creates less paperwork
Encompass is designed to minimize user errors and to make entering data easy. Encompass reduces paperwork and is fully HIPAA and 42 CFR compliant. Encompass is supported by effective user documentation, face to face training and e-Learning courses built around the modules. The system is web-based and requires no special software or hardware. Encompass allows you to immediately share consumer information to authorized users.


Encompass History

Encompass was developed the WCHO Information Management team to manage mental health care. Encompass has been used in Washtenaw County since October 2003 and has been implemented into Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe and Saginaw Counties. Encompass was created to serve the particular needs of the organization.
